Lake Travis is a man made lake near Austin, Tx. Specifically we dive at Windy Point. It is our "local" dive spot with enough depth to practice tech-diving, and good above and below water facilities, such as an on site compressor, platforms for training and sunken curiosities.

This album contains various pictures taken over several trips. The photos from September of 2005 are my first underwater photos.

In preperation for my cave diver class, I headed to lake Travis with a cave diving friend of mine to practice line skills in open water. The surface of the lake (down to about 30 feet) is a hot tube like 85F+. The temperature at 150' was 59F. Ouch.

January, 2005

Due to shear diving deprivation, Wade, Joseph and I decided to go dive Travis in January. We were all in dry suits, but the cold wasn't the worst problem. These pictures were taken with a 15mm lens, so most are close up. Vis was less than 5 feet from the surface to 120'. After a couple of dives we packed it in and headed for home.
