The scanner has been busy. I’ve added various pictures, including some pictures from my days at TLU, my trip to Playa Del Carmen, a trip to Berkeley, another trip to Colorado, the 1998 flood in Seguin, and several private albums.

The pictures from my trip to Vecta, Germany in May/June of 1997 have been scanned added to the travel page. I’ve also reorganized some of my galleries and added a “Random Stuff” set of galleries for all those galleries that don’t fit into diving, travel or motorsports.

This past weekend I ended up at Lake Travis with a group of divers doing their advanced open water dives, including their deep dives. As usual, I was diving my tech rig, in aluminum 80s. Besides accompanying the class on a couple of dives, I got to do a number of solo dives.

I’ve work towards my Ph.D. since 2001 when I started on my M.S. I took qualifying exams and completed my masters thesis. Along the way I lost most of my respect for academic institution. I sat through classes that should have been interesting and challenging. Of course there were one or two classes that were different and enjoyable, but most were boring and pointless. Faculty wasted my time and made me feel like I had simply thrown my money away.
