First Nikon 70-200mm f2.8 VRII Images

I just got my new Nikon A70-200mm lens (Nikon AF-S Nikkor 70-200mm f2.8 VRII). It is an amazing piece of glass. There is a small park near Adrian’s apartment here in Virginia where a little league plays in the evenings. I headed out to take a few test shots, and wow, is this a nice lens. These images were taken with the sun low and below the horizon (good light).

Arlington National Cemetery – April 9th, 2010

The problem with Arlington National Cemetery as a photographic subject is its hours. The subject matter is striking and powerful, but unfortunately, you can’t photograph it, at least as a civilian or without connections, when the light is nice (i.e. dusk or dawn).
